Mimi Li is an interdisciplinary artist based in Hong Kong. Originally from the United States, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College of Architecture, Art and Planning at Cornell University. She works primarily in sculpture and installation, but is also active in painting, digital media, photography, illustration, printmaking, sustainable design, fashion, poetry, fiction, and other arts.

Li’s most recent series “The Chair Monologues” invites viewers to explore the intriguing intersection of art and functionality, where ordinary chairs transcend their utilitarian purpose to become vessels of character, satire, and social commentary.

Li’s work has been exhibited in several galleries in New York and her dedication to her craft was recognized with the Dean's List of Academic Achievement Award and the prestigious Cornell Club Hong Kong Scholarship. Throughout her artistic journey, she remains committed to the constant exploration of new techniques, seeking to ignite introspection and contemplation in those who engage with her art.
